I had to go up the lake to drop off tons of kit in the storage box. It was suprisingly windy. So I rigged my 5.4 and shot off immediately. The rig came out the top as I rushed the job. A quick re rig and back on the water. The wind was very up and down, but I planed most of it. The racers down the bottom of the lake were on 7.5 and 8.5\'s and IMCOs. Amazing for the strength of the wind. Mike was on his 7m lightening and fred on a 6.1 pryde.

After a few days at the coast - you forget how gusty it is in land - and frankly that it is just more difficult to pull off good gybes, as it usually does something unpredicted every couple of seconds!

Still my dad picked the winner in the national today.....
